Lorna Solis  ·  Founder and CEO
Prior to founding Blue Rose Compass, Lorna was Director for Latin America and Africa at Institutional Investor where she worked on projects to increase FDI and mainly focused on Infrastructure projects. She also worked at IDEA on Wall Street covering Latin America, and at Water & Air Research, an environmental consulting firm on creating National Parks in Honduras and Brazil. Graduated from the University of Florida and Harvard Kennedy School’s Global Leadership & Public Policy Executive Program, Lorna is a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum, a Global Agenda Council Member on Women’s Empowerment and Gender Parity, a 2012 Echoing Green Semi-Finalist, an Organizational Partner of Global Dignity Day, a UNHCR Innovation Council Board Member and an Advisory Board Member of the Humanitarian Innovation Project at the University of Oxford’s Refugee Studies Centre.

Lorna is a figurative sculptor whose work has been exhibited in NYC and has won numerous awards.

Stefanie Stuart  ·  Operations

Stefanie manages all operational aspects of Blue Rose Compass, drawing from a diverse background in Financial Services. She has advised Ultra High Net Worth investors from Latin America during her time with Deutsche Bank’s Offshore Private Bank in New York and managed a portfolio of retail investors out of Greenwich, New York, Philadelphia and Chicago whilst with the US domestic Deutsche Bank Alex Brown division. Prior to moving to the United States, Stefanie provided Financial Planning advice to individuals in Johannesburg, South Africa while at Alexander Forbes and got her start in Financial Services as a Marketing Consultant for a micro-lending institution.

Stefanie is a University of London graduate with an MSc in Financial Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics Honors) from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in German, French and Afrikaans. She lives in the New York area with her young family and is a voracious culture vulture.

Abass Mohamed  ·  Director 

Abass is a Director of Blue Rose Compass. He has lived in a refugee camp in Kenya for 13 years where he obtained his primary and secondary education. Through sheer hard work and determination, Abass earned a scholarship to Princeton University where he received a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in June 2009. He then went onto a full scholarship from Blue Rose Compass to EBS- European Business School, where he obtained a Masters in Finance.

Abass realizes that without the helping hand of these individuals and organizations he might not have been able to achieve his dream to obtain a university education. He believes that it is time for him to give back to humanity for having given him an invaluable opportunity to achieve his dreams. That is why he is passionate about helping deserving refugee kids from around the world to achieve their dreams by giving them an opportunity to further their education.

Anja Sølvhviid  ·  Creative Director
Anja Sølvhviid is managing and directing the entire creative process for Blue Rose Compass on a volunteer basis. She is a highly experienced art director and graphic designer, that runs her own design studio in Denmark with clients worldwide. To Anja, working for Blue Rose Compass gives her an opportunity to support a cause she believes in through her passion for graphic design.

Danish born Jens Honoré has spent his professional lifetime exploring and observing the world through myriad lenses. His eye for detail and intuitive connection to both his surroundings and subjects create imagery that has garnered distinction and recognition.

Working in advertising for the last 20 plus years, Jens has earned everything from prizes for winning campaigns to awards for exhibitions and publications. Jens has been commissioned by a wide variety of magazines such as Stern, Sports Illustrated, Time Magazine and The New York Times, as well as advertisement clients such as British Airways, Carlsberg, Coca Cola, Merck, Microsoft, the LEGO Group, Pfizer, Siemens and Shell.

Jens Honoré earned a Master’s Degree from the Danish School of Photography. He and his family reside in New York.

Holt Goddard · BRC Legal Counsel

Holt Goddard is a corporate lawyer in New York City. He is currently a partner at White & Case LLP specializing in corporate finance and capital markets transactions. He previously lived and worked for two years in Hong Kong and has represented clients in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Holt received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, his MBA from Yale University, and his law degree from Columbia University.
